Overnight IBCLC Care for You and Your Baby

Hello!

Ever wish you could keep Lactation Support overnight?!

I’m Peta, an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and I am passionate about new parents and I am offering overnight help so you would probably get 3 feeds supported!

I totally get how hard those early days of being a new parent can be. I hold no judgement towards anyone wanting a little extra support. Our village after all, has all but disappeared. Or perhaps you don’t have a Mum around to Mother you right now. Whatever the case may be for you, I am here to guide you through.

You know your baby the best, I am just here to support you and make you feel comfortable along the way. I am an IBCLC so my specialty is infant feeding. By staying with you overnight, I can sit through and work through each feed with you so you feel completely confident in moving ahead.

I will help you get the baby ready for a feed, bring bub to you ready to go, help you latch and assess each feed to make sure your baby is transferring well, then resettle your baby while you get some rest. Anything you want to discuss is totally up to you. I prioritise mental health as my number one concern so we can work through your health alongside your feeding goals. I can have conversations with your partner on how best to support you and I can help with re-settling older children if needed as well. I can also complete some light duties such as cleaning bottles, pump equipment and tidying up while you sleep.

I ask that you provide a safe place for me to rest overnight while I keep an eye on your baby next to me. Usually a couch is fine for me with a safe sleeping place like a bassinet for the baby next to me.

This service is currently offered on Monday or Friday evenings from 9pm to 6am on the Northern Beaches and North Shore of Sydney.

I am an IBCLC, certified doula, infant massage consultant, mum of two and dedicated to my families that I work with.

As an IBCLC, I support women in those early days, weeks and months in regard to infant feeding, breast, bottle and everything in between. I support women after the birth of their baby and work to help Mums get a better latch, avoid or heal sore nipples, get away from shields, increase supply, decrease supply, wean, combo feed, emotional support and so much more. For some Mums that means supporting to exclusive feed, for some to combination feed and for some Mums working through the grief when unfortunately breastfeeding might not be the best journey for them. I would love to work with you and your family to help you get the best experience possible for your unique situation, whatever it may be.

In my spare time, I have taken up Salsa and Bachata dancing, so you will find me on a dance floor, accidentally leading the guys, but giving it a good crack!

Much love

Peta x
